Earlier Story
Registration for the new Growlers Academy begins this morning, but the organization has plans to expand programs over the coming months within all minor hockey regions across Newfoundland and Labrador.
The eight-week, 3-on-3 program for Under-11 and Under-13 age groups begins at 10:30 a.m..
VP of Hockey Operations, Trevor Murphy says they’re excited like kids in a candy store to drop the puck.
However, programming won’t end there. Growlers Academy Staff are planning development camps and association based programs to take place over the coming months.
Murphy says there will be weekend camps that will be geared towards all age groups. He says they’re hoping to get to every minor hockey region of the province this year and continue to build on that in the years to come.
There will be goalie clinics and specialty clinics focusing on developing defense and forwards.
