It’s going to be hot and humid couple of days across most of the province.
Daytime highs in eastern, central, and western Newfoundland today will be in the low-to-mid 20s, with humidex values pushing temperatures closer to the 30 degree mark.
It will be a similar story tomorrow, though temperatures on the west coast are expected to drop off slightly, and will reach the high teens.
Temperatures on the Northern Peninsula and some coastal areas will not be as warm, with daytime highs in the mid teens.
Environment Canada meteorologist Tiffany Cheeks says while it will be a nice day, showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening.
She says the risk of thunderstorms is there for the west and central later this afternoon, while areas in the east could see them this evening.
In central Labrador the weather will be hot as well, with temperatures in the mid-to-high 20s. Other areas of Labrador will be cool.
