Eastern Health has launched a new program for those who are unable to access the flu vaccine through public clinics, their pharmacist or family physician.

Home visits can be requested by those who need a flu shot but can’t get out.

People can request the service through their local Community Health Office or through the Community Support Program.

Or you can contact 1-800-770-7741. Eastern Health asks callers to ensure they dial 1-800 and then 770-7741.

The provincial government is hoping to innoculate as many people as possible this year to prevent hospitalizations due to influenza at a time when COVID numbers could spike.
