In a Tweet on Sunday, the university said the decision was made due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the province.

The plan was to have staff in the office for two days a week and possibly full return during the first half of 2021. Employees have been working remotely since last spring.
It would’ve applied to all campuses and locations across the province.
In September, Memorial decided to continue remote course delivery for most students in the winter semester, while opening some on-campus spaces for student study.
