Fire gutted a home in Whitbourne overnight, leaving a family of four homeless.
The Whitbourne Volunteer Fire Department got the call at about 3:00 a.m.
Firefighters got all four out including two elementary-aged children. The children were unharmed but the two adults were first taken to the local Newhook Clinic, then to St. John’s.
Firefighters remained on the scene well into the daylight hours watching for hot spots.
