A woman is facing a raft of charges after an alleged abduction in St. John’s on Sunday.

Police say the incident occurred in an apartment building on Freshwater Road around the lunch hour.

They say the 52-year-old woman is believed to have forced a 23-year-old woman out of her apartment and into the suspect’s apartment within the same building.

The accused faces charges of assault, break and enter and kidnapping.

She was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing.
