There are three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province—one involving a recent arrival to the province from Nova Scotia which is seeing a surge in cases, and the other is a young person but is not connected to a recent positive case in the Deer Lake school system.
There are 28 active cases of the virus in Newfoundland and Labrador.
One newly-confirmed case in the Central region is a man between the ages of 20 and 39 who arrived in the province from Nova Scotia prior to the closure of the Atlantic Bubble. He is not a resident of the province and the case is not related to any previously-known case.
The man is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
An advisory is now in place for anyone who flew on Air Canada Flight 8862 from Halifax to Gander on Friday, November 20, to call 811 for testing.
Another case involves a woman in the Eastern Health region between the ages of 20 and 39 who returned to the province from East Africa. She is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
The third case is a female under the age of 19, and is connected to the recent Deer Lake cluster.
A total of 295 people have recovered from COVID-19 to date, and 60,578 people have been tested for the virus.
