The federal and provincial governments have announced a combined $330,000 in funding for the Gros Morne Co-operating Association.
The money will be used to help enhance area tourism, with a focus on the seven towns located within Gros Morne National Park.
Premier Andrew Furey says the funds will help create a regional plan to address what he calls “gaps” in the tourism sector, and help businesses bounce back stronger on the other side of the pandemic.
Furey says the only certainty about our current situation is that there is no certainty, and while we don’t have an exact end date we can use this time to plan for how we can come out of the pandemic.
