The City of St. John’s says the start date for a new four-bag garbage limit is not yet finalized.
The Committee of the Whole discussed changes to sanitation regulations at its meeting earlier this week.
The city says once approved, the regulations must be advertised and posted in the provincial government’s Gazette before they become official. It is expected to be completed sometime in January.
An awareness campaign and details of the changes will be posted to the city’s website and through social media to make sure residents understand the changes.
As VOCM News reported yesterday, a transition period will be enacted to allow residents to get used to the new four-bag limit.
