A Burin Peninsula man is asking the Department of Transportation to review the salt and sand mixture used on the province’s highways.
A car driven by Byron Lundrigan’s wife was damaged by what he calls large chunks of rock and salt, spread as part of winter maintenance operations.
Lundrigan says he sent photos of the damage to the Minister of Transportation, as well as both MHAs for the region. He says he has not received any response.
He says the mixture has gotten increasingly worse over the years and he would like some answers.
