A St. John’s resident is among the recipients of this year’s Order of Canada.
Stan Dragland is an award-winning novelist and former professor of English literature at Western University who was born and raised in Calgary.
He moved to St. John’s after his retirement.
The Order of Canada nominations were officially released this morning.
Newfoundland and Labrador native Sandra Djwa was previously announced in November for her promotion of Canadian and Québécois literature.
