The RNC in Metro responded to a call about a break and entry in progress at a business in west end St. John’s this morning.
Just after 3:30 a.m., officers arrived at the business where they quickly nabbed one suspect. A vehicle that left the scene was found in the Mount Pearl area shortly after.
Police called in the K-9 Unit and the other suspect was tracked down by police dog, Avalon, and arrested at the scene.
Both will appear in court today. The matter remains under investigation.
Then around 4 this morning, the Constabulary answered another break and entry call, this time at a centre city home.
Officers arrested a 24-year-old man at the scene. He now faces charges of uttering threats, property damage, assault with a weapon, and resisting arrest. He was held for court.
