Newfoundland and Labrador reported one new case of COVID-19 on Sunday, the first since January 5.
The case involves a woman between the ages of 20 and 39 in the Eastern Health region.
She is a resident of the province and her infection is related to international travel. Officials say the woman is self-isolating and contact tracing is finished.
In relation to the case, anyone who was on Air Canada Flight 690 from Toronto to St. John’s on Tuesday, January 5 is urged to call 811 to arrange for testing.
The province has five active cases of COVID-19 and one person remains in hospital with the virus.
