PC Leader Ches Crosbie isn’t mincing his words when it comes to the pandemic and the provincial election.
On the heels of a new cluster announced today, Crosbie is questioning Premier Andrew Furey’s decision to call the election in the midst of the pandemic and the dead of winter.
“The Liberals could have put public health before the interests of the governing party and held this election at a safer time, like during the summer and once more people—particularly those in our vulnerable populations—received vaccinations,” wrote Crosbie in today’s statement.
Crosbie is calling on Furey to immediately provide details of the vaccination roll-out plan and describe what steps have been taken to speed up the vaccination process.
He’s also calling for reassurance from Ottawa that the province’s vaccine supply is secure.
