RCMP say no foul play is suspected in the sudden death of a woman in Happy Valley-Goose Bay this week.
The body of 29-year-old Diem Saunders was found in a home in the town on Tuesday.
Formerly known as Delilah, she was the sister of Loretta Saunders who was murdered in Halifax in 2015 by a couple who were subletting her apartment.
The investigation by police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined that the death was not criminal in nature and there is no risk to public safety.
Diem Saunders was an outspoken advocate for justice for Loretta and was an active participant in protests seeking fairness for Indigenous people living downstream from the Muskrat Falls project.
