The MHA for Placentia-St. Mary’s is providing an update on the damage left behind by Hurricane Larry.
Sherry Gambin-Walsh says for the first time in her 27-years of living in North Harbour, the main road washed out and was impassable.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure was on the scene earlier today and now has one lane open in North Harbour.

St. Vincent’s has also experienced significant damage, according to Gambin-Walsh.
Gambin-Walsh says there are road washouts, and the beach parking lot and wooden breakwater in St. Vincent’s are significantly damaged. The road in Dunnville also experienced damage.
She says the entire district lost power at one point overnight, but many areas have since been restored.
