The annual Noia Oil and Gas Conference gets underway tomorrow in St. John’s.
It’s been no secret that the last two years have been hard on the local oil and gas industry with thousands of layoffs, but there is some cause for optimism among those involved in the province’s offshore.
Earlier this month Suncor announced that a deal had been reached to move forward with the project to extend the life of the Terra Nova FPSO.
Scheduled speakers include Premier Andrew Furey, ExxonMobil President Lazaro Cosma, Natural Resources Minister Andrew Parsons and Chief Communications Officer with the Hubble Space Telescope, Bethany Downer.
