A local feminist charity is putting off a new play as the flagship initiative of a year-long project.
PerSIStence Theatre will be staging “The Mirror”, as part of the VOTES FOR WOMEN 100 project.
The Mirror, written by Trudy J. Morgan-Cole and directed by Jenn Deon, follows the life of suffragist, Armine Nutting Gosling, who led the fight for women to gain the right to vote in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The production employs over two-dozen people, most of whom identify as women or non-binary, and has an overall budget of $75,000.
The show opens on Thursday, October 21 at the LSPU hall. Tickets are available only to those who are fully vaccinated.
