Runners have crossed the finish line at the 2021 Cape to Cabot race in St. John’s.
It’s the first time the 20 km road race has been held since the start of the pandemic.
The first to cross the finish line was the male winner, Michael Kondro, coming in at a time of 1:21:27. 2019 winner, Zach Putt at 1:22:34, and Martin Njenga at 1:23:07 followed him to claim the silver and bronze for the men.
Stephanie Nevin was the female winner, coming in at 1:28:50, followed by Janelle Simmons at 1:33:20 and Allyson Stuckless at 1:37:56.
Cancer survivor Mike Dawe crossed the finish line in under two hours, coming in 1:50:58 to round out the top 100.
