A 21-year-old man has been ticketed after the ATV he was driving lost control and collided with a parked car on Cabot Street in Harbour Grace on Wednesday.

Police were alerted to the collision around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon.

RCMP say the ATV was traveling on the roadway when it lost a tire, causing the driver to lose control of the machine.

The ATV rolled over and collided with a car parked off the road in front of a residential property.

The operator was taken to hospital in Carbonear for treatment of minor injuries.

The man was ticketed for operating an ATV on the roadway without insurance, and his machine was seized and impounded.
