Canadians are marking Remembrance Day across the country, with ceremonies and commemorations scheduled throughout the province.
Wreath laying ceremonies are scheduled for cenotaphs across Newfoundland and Labrador, including the ceremony at the National War Memorial on Duckworth Street in St. John’s.
The ceremony will take place from 10:55 to 11:55.
While the public is welcome to attend the events, the ceremony at the National War Memorial will be broadcast on television to keep the number of people gathering at the site down. Premier Andrew Furey will attend the Royal Canadian Legion Remembrance Day Ceremony this morning.
