Two female drivers were nabbed for excessive speeding by New Wes Valley RCMP this week.
Shortly before 4 p.m on Monday, an officer patrolling near Valleyfield spotted a car travelling 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The 18-year-old driver, who only had three months’ driving experience, lost her license. The vehicle was impounded.
A short time later, the same officer spotted a truck travelling around 40 km/h over the limit in the same area. The 35-year-old driver was ticketed for operating an unregistered vehicle and not having insurance. The truck was impounded.
