Bay Roberts have released some surveillance images in hopes of identifying a man who is believed to be a suspect in an alleged shoplifting incident at a local grocery store.
Police were called to the store on Thursday, after a man entered the store around 4 p.m. and filled his cart with a variety of expensive grocery items. RCMP say the man left a short time later without paying for the merchandise, estimated to be valued at about $900 dollars.
The suspect, who was captured on CCTV video, was wearing a hooded black and grey coat, a mask, black and green ball cap, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The suspect was seen placing the goods in a small grey car, believed to be a Chevy Spark, with no licence plate attached. Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
