The Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador has announced its shortlist for the 2022 NLCU Fresh Fish Award for Emerging Writers.
This year’s finalists include Santiago Guzman for Urn, Tia McLennan for Familiar Monsters of the Floor, and Khadija Rehma for Dishonorable Daughters.
The willing author will receive a cash prize of $5,200, as well as $1,000 for professional editing services for their winning manuscript. The runners-up will each receive $1,200.
The winner will be announced in a ceremony at the Fluvarium in St. John’s on June 8th.
