A 49-year-old man is dead following an ATV crash in Ming’s Bight early Saturday morning.
Baie Verte RCMP were first notified of the crash, which occurred on Main Street, shortly before 3:00 a.m.
The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was found dead at the scene.
The chief medical examiner has been engaged and an investigation into suspected alcohol use is ongoing.
According to the RCMP, eight people have died in off-road vehicle accidents in their jurisdiction so far this year, five of whom were not wearing helmets.
