A 38-year-old woman is under investigation for suspected drug-impaired driving following a recent traffic stop in Cox’s Cove on the province’s west coast.
Corner Brook RCMP pulled a vehicle over on the Main Road in Cox’s Cove late Saturday night. According to police, the woman showed signs of impairment and she was arrested after testing positive for cannabis on roadside drug screening equipment.
A blood sample was collected at Western Memorial Regional Hospital and police are awaiting the results to determine if a drug-impaired driving charge is warranted.
The woman was ticketed for having unsealed cannabis readily available in her vehicle.
