The House of Assembly has wrapped up its Spring session.
The at-times raucous sitting saw a number of pieces of legislation brought forward, including an eight-cent cut in the provincial tax on gas and diesel.
Wednesday’s session was especially boisterous, with the Premier, in uncharacteristically animated fashion, outlining a list of accomplishments to questions from the opposition.
He highlighted West White Rose and Bay du Nord among other things “and we’re just getting started” he shouted to cheers from his side of the house.
The chirping wasn’t always light-hearted, however. There was a tense off-mic exchange between Opposition Health critic Paul Dinn and Industry Minister Andrew Parsons after Dinn accused Parsons of talking while a serious health issue was being raised.
