Eastern Health has a new interim CEO.
Kenneth Baird has been appointed to the position for a one-year term. Baird currently serves as Vice President of Quality, Process Improvement and Clinical Supports at Eastern Health.
Baird replaces former CEO David Diamond who was appointed as CEO of the planning team involved in merging the province’s four health authorities into one.
The individual health authorities will continue to operate as usual during the transition period.
Eastern Health has some 13,000 employees and more than 700 medical staff—serving a population of over 300,000.
