The Newfoundland Growlers Basketball Club dropped their first-ever game to the Edmonton Stingers.
The Growlers played the first game of their inaugural season in front of a mostly packed house Friday night against the defending champions at the MUN Field House.
Growlers Guard Jahvon Blair had a game-high 22 points in the 89-74 loss.
