The annual Teddy Bear Convoy took place today at the Janeway Hospital.
In conjunction with the Janeway Telethon, the convoy is one of the longest-running Janeway fundraisers.
Each year, truckers gather to take a convoy to the hospital. Often the truckers will look up to see children smiling and gazing through the hospital’s windows.
With pandemic regulations over the past two years, the truckers are excited to hold the convoy without social distancing measures.
For Chris Howlett, the owner of Akita Equipment, this convoy is important to both him and the kids.
Howlett says if any of the truckers don’t have kids, they all know of someone who has used the Janeway services. He says the convoy is a great cause.
