A young driver is facing a charge of flight from police following an incident in Kippens early Friday morning.
According to the RCMP, at about 2:00 a.m. police attempted to pull the vehicle over, which was travelling at a high rate of speed.
The driver fled, again at a high rate of speed. However, police did not pursue at the time in the interest of public safety.
The vehicle and the driver, whose age is not specified, were later found parked on a dirt road.
The accused will appear in court at a later date.
