The Roman Catholic Church and Parish Hall located in St. Joseph’s, St. Mary’s Bay will remain open.
Offers by the Daley family to purchase the properties were accepted on Thursday.
The Daley family says they intend to make the church available as a place of worship for the Good Shepherd Parish, and to have the parish hall continue as a community resource.
Spokesperson Andrew Daley says they are happy that the buildings will be used for their intended purposes, which is to meet the needs of the people in the area.
