A tip about a possible impaired driver in Labrador West recently resulted in the seizure of drugs and a firearm.
The RNC received the tip last Monday shortly after 10 p.m. about a possible impaired driver on the Trans-Labrador Highway just west of Lab City.
When the driver was pulled over, police say drugs and a loaded firearm were seized.
As a result, a 32-year-old man was arrested on several firearms-related offences. The investigation is ongoing and more charges are anticipated.
He was held for court.
