Stephen Hiscock with the Burgeo Broadcast System says the Burgeo area has seen some heavy damage. He says at least one house is in jeopardy, having been undermined by storm surge, while others have lost outbuildings including stages.

He says Smalls Island in Burgeo has been hit the hardest.

He says while there are a lot of people out and around in the community, many of them are helping others who have suffered damage from the storm.
