The Newfoundland Growlers and VOCM Cares are teaming up to help make Christmas more joyful for the young ones.
The ECHL team plays Worcester Railers Sunday, December 4 at Mary Brown’s Centre and will donate $5 from every specially-priced ticket sold to the VOCM Cares Happy Tree in the Avalon Mall.
Glenn Stanford, President of Deacon Sports and Entertain, says VOCM Cares and the Salvation Army are a natural fit for the team.
“The Happy Tree has been around for a long time and we are all familiar with the work that VOCM Cares does…if we can put smiles on a kid’s face this time of year, we’re all too happy to do it,” says Stanford.
All you have to do to purchase one of the tickets is go to the Newfoundland Growlers’ website.
