Metro police had a frightening situation on their hands last night in the centre city.
A man, brandishing a weapon, went into a private residence at about 8:00 and attempted to injure the occupants. Officers arrived to see him trying to flee with a number of items in his possession. They nabbed him within minutes and took him to the lockup.
The 21-year-old faces numerous charges of uttering threats, break and entry, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, escaping lawful custody and breach of court orders.
