Immigration Minister Gerry Byrne says a Ukrainian job fair tour of the west coast proved so successful they’re already making plans for similar tours in other parts of the province.
Job fairs were organized in Corner Brook, Stephenville, and Deer Lake in an attempt to match about 50 skilled Ukrainian workers with available job openings at a variety of businesses and government agencies.

Byrne says a number of job offers are on the table and the effort, in conjunction with the Association for New Canadians, was so successful, they’re planning similar tours in other parts of the province.
“Yes, we will be doing this again” says Byrne.
