Lowland areas in Gros Morne National Park are now closed to snowmobilers due to a lack of snow cover.
Parks Canada says areas north of Sally’s Cove that is below 350 metres is not safe to travel on.
However, snowmobiling in other areas of park is permitted until April 30 for public and commercial permit holders and May 15 for resident permit holders.
Snowmobilers are reminded that season dates are subject to change due to weather conditions.
