More closures are scheduled for emergency rooms on Bell Island and in St. Lawrence.
Due to staff shortages, a temporary closure will be in effect at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre on Bell Island from 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning until 8:00 a.m. on Monday.
Starting Monday at 8:00 a.m., the ER at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence will be closed until the following Monday, April 17.
During the closure, all other services such as outpatient laboratory and ambulatory services will still be available at their usual hours.
Anyone in need of medical attention is asked to call 811. In the event of an emergency, residents should call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
