The minister of environment says the amount of garbage collected on the Outer Ring Road this past weekend was less than the usual haul.
Workers did the section from Kenmount Road to Logy Bay Road over a 12-hour period on Sunday.
They removed three-and-a-half tandem dump loads of garbage which included a couch, tires and metal debris from vehicles.
The total tally of 2,500 bags of garbage is about 500 fewer than collected last fall.

Environment and Climate Change Minister Bernard Davis
Minister Bernard Davis says people on their way to the landfill at Robin Hood Bay have to do better.
He says that’s about two thirds of what they removed from the highway last year, which is an improvement.
