Newfoundland Power has donated about $80,000 to programs, supports and facilities for cancer patients.
The money, which comes from the utility’s Power of Life program, is spread around the island.
The money will go to the Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in St. John’s and the hospital in Gander for bariatric seating; the hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor for beds and mattresses; to Clarenville for a reclining chemotherapy chair and table; and the hospital in Stephenville for infusion pumps.
The program will also provide financial help for the 2026 NL Cancer Conference for Woman.
