The ribbon has been cut on a new accessible park and splash pad for the Town of Conception Bay South.
The new outdoor facility sits on the land formerly known as Rideout’s Farm and overlooks Long Pond off Bishop’s Road.
The $4.6 million dollar project, funded by municipal, provincial, and federal dollars, was filled with children and families of all abilities during Friday’s grand opening.

Premier Andrew Furey was among those who couldn’t resist cooling off in the splash pad.
He says he’s thrilled to see the facility come to life, calling it another step in improving accessibility in the province.
He says there is always room to improve on efforts to be inclusive and accessible, especially when it comes to designing and building new facilities like the one in C.B.S.
