A 39-year-old CBS man is facing a slew of charges related to a firearms investigation involving the RCMP and numerous other agencies.
The investigation began in April after Canada Border Services alerted the police that they had intercepted eight firearms suppressors destined for a home in the town.
During a search of the home on May 4, a total of 25 firearms were seized.
Now, Michael Melnychuk is facing a total of 24 charges for the alleged offences.
Those are eight combined counts related to importation of a prohibited device, and 16 combined charges related to possession of a prohibited device.
Canadian postal inspectors and the RNC also assisted in the investigation.
