The energy minister says government is still assessing the potential impacts of new federal regulations limiting subsidies to the fossil fuel industry.
Andrew Parsons says while he isn’t aware of any big amount of consultation that took place—he did not meet with his federal counterpart on it—he isn’t shocked by the new rules.
He says they are aligned on their overall goals, but they need to figure out what the impact will be for this province.
Parsons states that Ottawa hopes to reveal an implementation plan by fall 2024.
