Travellers now have a new option for non-stop travel from St. John’s to Toronto Pearson.
Porter’s inaugural sold-out St. John’s-Toronto flight took off from YYT this morning.
Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer with Porter, Kevin Jackson says the new plane has an elevated level of service for all passengers.
He says Porter is the only airline in the market which guarantees there will be no middle seats in economy class. The St. John’s-Pearson route also provides a choice of fresh, high-quality meals, and gives free Wi-Fi.
St. John’s International Airport Authority CEO Dennis Hogan says it’s great to see more options opening up at YYT.
Hogan says increasing air access is one of the top priorities of the airport.
Hogan says they’re in relentless pursuit of air service development with host of airlines whether that be the Atlantic region, airlines across Canada or a non-stop flight to Europe.
