The nomination period for the Liberal Party candidate for the Conception Bay East-Bell Island by-election ends today.
The Liberal candidate is the final piece to the puzzle for the district. The PCs have secured Portugal Cove-St. Phillips town councilor Tina Neary as their candidate, while deaf rights activist Kim Churchill is running for the NDP.
So far, no one has publicly put their name forward as a candidate for the Liberals. It has been rumored that former broadcaster, now advisor to the Premier, Fred Hutton will be seeking the nod.
The call for nominations officially closes at 4 p.m.
