College of the North Atlantic (CNA) disagrees with claims that one of its campuses failed to properly recognize Black History Month.
Last week, the Canadian Federation of Students NL criticized the CNA’s Grand Falls-Windsor campus for a delay in celebrating during the month of February.
CFS-NL called on the college to do better in supporting students of colour and ensuring they are included.
College officials say Black History Month was recognized at several campuses across the province with numerous events held. including at the site in Grand Falls-Windsor.
CNA says it strives to be inclusive for students of all backgrounds by working with associated groups, including the Association for New Canadians.
