Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney will be laid to rest today following a state funeral in Montreal this morning.

Mulroney passed away on February 29th at the age of 84.

Host of CTV’s Question Period Vassi Kapelos says a number of notable figures will eulogize the former Prime Minister. Including his daughter Caroline Mulroney, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, former Quebec premier Jean Charest, media mogul Pierre-Karl Péladeau, former US Secretary of State James Baker and Wayne Gretzky.

The funeral service will begin at 12:30 Newfoundland time from Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.
