NL Health Services says surface cracking is a normal occurrence that is monitored by maintenance staff to ensure the safety and integrity of the building.
Some concerns had recently been expressed when cracking was noticed at the Janeway, but the health authority says they do not pose a risk to the structural integrity of the facility.
