Jag Soundhouse, the capital city’s newest live music venue, will be opening March 15th of next year, the lineup for which was announced this morning.
Collective Soul, along with local rockers Mick Davis & Thin Love, will be the very first bands to take the stage at the newly constructed extension to the Jag Hotel on Water Street in downtown St. John’s.
Shawn Basha of Brigus Productions calls the new live venue an exciting addition to the city’s downtown music scene.
“It’s a massive, state-of-the-art, unbelievable, multi-purpose room,” says Basha. “It’s kind of like a theatre, it’s kind of like a big open room, it’s actually whatever you want it to be, and it holds a lot of people, over 1,600.”
